I bought some slicker road tires that had less rolling resistance and it makes a huge difference. I'll occasionally put the original big chunky tires back on for snow and it's like a completely different bike with those big things on. With road tires this bike has no problem hitting 30kph without a lot of effort, just wish it had higher gears.

i got this bike a few days ago and have definitely pushed it past its limits, it managed to out perform my race buddies 2200$ scott cross country bike and is great when mudding or downhill and cross country, but a down side is its road use, paved biking can be a hassle with any fs mtb, so i greatly recomend this bike especiealy since its on sale, if you do get it, remember to ask for your free kickstand as they tend to 'forget'.
I have had this bike for about 2 months now, I ride on pavement, gravel, and dirt paths with no problems at all. On pavement you do suffer a little bit of resistance but the bike still travels at good speeds.
