As Canadian Tire does not stock repair parts, you have to go to one of their repair centres, your store can tell you who to see, and order the paret there. As a lot of these repair centres are new they need all the help you can give them so take the owners manual with you

You can pretty much get them at any hardware store. Canadian Tire sells them, I know Home Hardware and Home Depot do as well, and probably Kent.

You'll need a 4" x 36" Sanding Belt for it, whichever grit you usually use. Default is probably 180 or so.

Last time I neede some my local store had a few,STRESS FEW,I bought all they had.I've found many sanding tools to suffer this affliction.Best thing you can do is find some scary, disgusting looking hole in the wall tool shop in your area, with an even scarier looking 300 year old attendant behind the counter,he'll have them!Pajimy.

How to connect to a Shopvac

The product number is 55-3559-4. p.13 of the manual says it is easy to connect to a dust collection system but doesn't say how. I would like to connect it to my 5 gal. Shopvac.

Take your shop vac hose and connect it to the dust collector- the hose should slide right in- Kind of pointless though as you still get alot of dust from the sanding surface that won't collect.

answer 2
The dust collection for the sanding disc and the
belt are fed into the same port that is located on
the end of the sander. To connect your machine to a dust collection system:1. Place a 21⁄2"" diameter hose over the dust port. 2. Secure the hose in place with a hose clamp.

There is a lever above the disc that take tension off the belt. Flip that and raise the belt support to clear the belt frame support and slide the belt out.

Pull the belt tension lever toward you to release belt tension ,Place the sanding belt over the drive roller and idler roller with the directional arrows running counterclockwise. Besure the sanding belt is centered on both drums.

Push the belt tension lever back into place to apply the belt tension.

Question

How to install disc to disc sander ?

When I peel the back paper from sand disc the surface is very lightly tacky but no way it would hold on metal disc of machine. Should I use some kind of glue, if yes what kind? Or what I am doing not right?

Any other disks you buy should probably be stickier, though the one that came with mine was perfect.

To get it on there good, but still have it removable, try using some kind of spray glue. The best glue I'd recommend for this purpose would be 3M Super-77. Great stuff for a great-hold, but removable if you need to, and the residue is very easy to get rid of through rubbing or some Goo-Gone.

I had the same problem- CLean the metal surface with rubbing alcohol - and press the disc on- then Take a hair dryer / heat gun and get it nice and warm-- it will make it stick just fine then- just needs some heat to activate the glue
