Noma sells this as a 1000w/2000w heater? I only want for 1000w but am not sure of wiring. The instructions call for both red and white wires to be together with power source. Has anybody tried this?

Your don't hook the red and white together for 1000W. You leave the second element unhooked.

The heater must be installed by a certified electrician and in accordance with the local and national
electrical codes. Thermostat MUST be 2000 Watts.

This item is 8.3 AMP, so it request a 15AMP circuit breaker.

Hi, Just divide wattage by voltage = amperage i.e.
2000watts by 240 volts = 8.33 amps. You would use a 2 pole 15 amp breaker and #14 wire. Good luck

Why is the heater model 52-2533-6 not supposed to be installed in a bathroom setting?

It is shock protected The instructions for the heater appear to be very generic and most of them don't apply to this heater as this is a unit made to install in the wall

This heater is to be installed next to a door or window ( eg. entance hallway) in order to create a hot air curtain in that space. It is not to be installed into a bathroom or laundry room in order to avoid electrical shocks if by accident the unit is falling in water containers or bathtubs.

nope...
the unit is an on only with a overheat protection of 75degrees...

i just picked one up now have to put it on a switch or a thermostat

i am installin this in my 1car garage

The heater must be installed by a certified electrician and in accordance with the local and national electrical codes. A certified electrician would be better qualified as to what type of heaters are recommended in Mini homes.

Depending on the wattage installation (1000w or 2000w), it can heat a room from 100 to 200 square foot.

It does come with the surface mount box, however there is no built in thermostat.

There are 2 ways to connect the unit:
1. For the 1000W heater, use the black and the white to connect and cap off the red.
2. For the 2000W heater, use the white and red together and the black.

It has to be installed by a certified electrician.
