If after applying the 3rd step and its not smooth you can sand and apply step 3 again for smoother finish. I did not do this as my first application was enough.

You will have to sand the top coating and start over from Step 1 (the rock coating needs something to bind to).
Did you watch the DVD? It is important that you sand the rock coating (Step 2) in order to end up with a smooth surface to apply the counter top coating.

There are several colours available, such as Arizona Sands, Champagne, Expresso, Galaxy, Great Lakes, Red Canyon, Silver Beach. As for ease of use, it does take some practice and patience with trowel use.

The video says to sand with 700 or 800 grit before doing second coat. I did not do this myself as it covered fine the first coat.

Yes you can. Make sure to sand the entire counter with 220grit paper and tack the surface with a damp cloth with water to remove powder from sanding , then re-apply the Stoneffects counter top coating

Stone Effects is very difficult to remove, especially once the Countertop Epoxy has been applied.  Should you wish to recoat the surface, you could sand down some of the Epoxy, clean away any resulting sanding dust, and begin again starting with the Step 1 Primer, two thin coats of Step 2, a coat of the Step 3 sealer, and finally the Epoxy.  If you'd like to discuss this repair in detail, contact the manufacturer at: 1-800-387-3625.
