I took a look at this product in the store and while I dont have exact dimensions, i can tell you that its BIG. It doesnt look big in the pics cuz theres nothing to compare it to, but its definitely a lot bigger than the other portable heaters.

If you were to take 3 or 4 of the portable noma heaters and put them side by side, thats about how wide this product is

Like everything... depend.
Always to get 20C and 14x14 room.
Scenery 1: Outside temp above -15C (aprox) and heater on the floor, around 20" really fast!, with heater mounted on the wall (1.50m +-) around 2 hours, not too bad.
Scenery 2: Outside temp below -15C (aprox) and heater on the floor, around 50", with heater mounted on the wall (1.50 +-) around 4 hours.

If cost of electricity is 10 cents per kilowatt hour. Then it would be 15 cents per hour that it is on when set at 1500 watts.

The electric consumption is 1500 watts per hour when the heater in HIGH setting - from this number you should be able to figure out what the cost would be given the cost of your electricity.

Question

The metal plate inside the heater produces a loud bang noise after set temperature is reached. Is this normal?

After set temperature is reached the heater stops, then the heater prodcues a loud bang noise. Possibly caused by the cooling down of the sheet metal inside the heater. Is this normal? I thought this is supposed to be a quiet heater.

I have not found this to be the case, just a click sound when it shuts off.

answer 2
Take it back...and exchange for another unit..

It it bangs as well you'll have to decide it its too loud...It is normal to have some movement due to expansion/contraction but a large bang indicates a rapid change possible being caused by an internal obstruction.

Question

How much electricity does it use when idle?

Someone in the review section says it draws 750 watts after it reaches its set temperature. Is this accurate? Seems a little high for just maintaining a temperature display.

No, I just ran a test on it. I have UPM energy meter and once the set temp is reached it uses zero watts. It does draw 750 watts when set to low and running or 1300 watts on high and running. Hope this helps.

I think this person means that the heater uses 1500w to meet the temperature set then kicks down to 750w to maintain that temperature.

Question

Positioning of heater

The box tells me to mount on all, or place against the wall...but then it also tells me to keep it at least 3 feet away from any walls, furniture etc...Where do I place this heater so its safe?

The heater can be used as mounted on the wall or stand on floor . No matter mounted on the wall or stand on the floor, it need to keep at least 3 feet away from furnitures, curtains, plants or combustible material to prevent accident.

When mounted on the wall, if the ceiling is combustible or cover with wallpapers, we suggest keep it 3 feet away, so that the heat will not ruin the wall, or cause any mark on it. PS. when mounted on wall, the rear side of the heater is ok and not too hot.

Yes this heater can be mounted on the wall with no curtains nearby to get in its way. However, from personal experience, I found it works best by using the availabe feet option and set it along the floor. Saves you from making 2 holes in the wall!
