There are many different types of heaters to choose from CTC. Oil filled radiator style heaters provide a quiet and gradual efficient heat supply. They are used in bedrooms and living rooms where silence is appreciated the most! Fan Forced portable heaters provide directional heat and work well in rooms that lack sufficient central heating. Often they supplement heating to basement rec. rooms or house additions. Ceramic heaters provide quick local heating and are great adding extra warmth to small offices. Radiant heaters are also quiet like rad heaters and provide targeted heat. These can be used in workshops and garages with a workspace used for specific projects. Only the area targeted gets heat delivery.

Question

why does the warning light suddenly come on

several times now for no reason the radiator has made a loud clicking sound and the warning light in the middle has come on. Should I worry that the thing is going to catch fire? Or does the warning light mean that it has switched itself off?

Through the description given by the user, it looks like the overheat protection triggered, when the temperature inside the unit reached the limitation. The overheat switch will start to work and a low "click" sound will occur and the heating element will turn off and the caution light(the middle one) will come on instead. Once the temperature cools down for several minutes, the heating element can automatically recover to work, it's a normal protection, no need to worry.

The user needs to check the heater operation guide and make sure the heater operated as instructed.

a.) put on heater on firm level surface, attached to the caster before operation.

b.) make sure no obstruction near the heater, especially that no objects like clothes are put on or around the unit.

c.) don't place the heater on high-piled carpet.

could just be a burned out bulb, or defective panel. You've probably tried this but if not put the power selector to III and the thermostat all the way up then push the comfort temp button. Good luck.

There are two options we can try to see if we can clear trouble you are having. If they don't work we suggest you return your heater to your local Canadian Tire store for warranty.

Option one:
Check that the setting temperature is not set lower than the current room temperature. Set the desired temperature higher than the current temperature to restart the heater.

Option two:

Rest Instructions:

1) TURN THE UNIT OFF.

2) UNPLUG UNIT WAIT 10 MINUTES.

3) PLUG IN AND TURN ON.
